Directions to Playtesters
From Omi Oh My AI
Hi guys! Thank you so much for agreeing to playtest! Here’s some information to help guide your playtesting so that we use your time well. Please remember to check the wiki bug reports.
What to do:
- When loading up the game, please write down what time you started and on which puzzle (give the number). At the end of your session, write down the time again and the number of the last-solved puzzle. Then please complete the summary (which can be found at the end of this document).
- When you get stuck, please write which puzzle type and number you’re on, and why or how you’re stuck. Have a look at the wiki to find help or let me know and I’ll explain it, so that you can move on. Please write down what did help or would have helped you to solve it. Could we have made the prompt more clear, was the image not a good choice, anything like that. It’s fine to be stuck on something, so please let us know because we want to get a sense of how to improve the game and how difficult it is. We may also catch some bugs this way.
- When there’s a bug, please write down which puzzle type and puzzle number you are working on, and also a description of the bug. Take a screenshot too please. Then email that all to me. A bug might look like items not lining up, a correct answer being marked wrong or anything else strange and not working as it should be. We will send you a new game file or give you a work around to continue playtesting at a later stage, otherwise if it’s not too big a bug then please keep going with your session.
- If you have any general feedback, we would love to hear it. You can send it directly to me or write it in the playtest session summary.
DO NOT:
- Click on the version number repeatedly, as this will enable the developer console.
- If you somehow enable the developer console and press the ~ key to open it, simply press Escape to close it again and inform a member of the team.
