Hi Xuan,
Thanks for your updates and for your questions about describing Omi in your game project. Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, I thought it would be an easy process but after a chat with Monti it soon became clear that there was much more to it then I realised. Yay bureaucracy! Chats with the heads of research, PR and so on are finally over, and we’ve got some guidelines for you.
- Wherever you mention SCEIWA, you need to use the institute’s entire name, and then can use the abbreviated version after that. This would include in game, in promotional material or in credits, etc. Anything you can think of officially for the public.
- I’ve attached a doc with info about using SCEIWA graphics, if you go with any. Don’t stretch them in any way, or flip them or change the colours etc and you’ll be all good.
- As with the original agreement, no releasing anything about Omi’s inner workings to the public, but general AI information is fine.
- List me as Dr Rosie Sachdev, SCEIWA Researcher and Monti as Dr Monti Amal, SCEIWA Researcher wherever we are mentioned in public facing documents (including the game).
- “The Omi Artificial General Intelligence Project” can be shorted in later mentions. Any of the following is acceptable shortening: “Omi”, “The Omi Project” or “The Omi AGI Project”.
- I know you’re a little way off, but don't forget to send the final version through before release so that the relevant people can review and approve it.
Sorry about all that! I hope it doesn’t create too much work for you (I’m sure you’re sorry you asked!). Any questions, just shoot an email over to Monti or I and we’ll try get it sorted out a bit quicker than this whole palava.
Good luck!
Rosie
